Hi I installed windows 10 without any issue a few months back. So it seemed. I had an automatic install a day or so ago and when I try to use my webcam or just the camera, its all black. I looked under the imaging devices and tried to install the software from there, but it doesn't even list my device on the Legacy download... thing? I have windows set to use my cam with all apps however I came across a comment on youtube that said Sony wasn't updating anymore to meet Windows 10 standards? I have a Vaio Model SVT131B11L. Any help is appreciated. I have had to resort to using an old webcam from 6yrs ago to video chat with.

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in resolving that issue.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the webcam driver.
- Reboot the laptop and it should reinstall the driver automatically.
- Try the webcam again after the reboot
- If that doesn't work please do try these troubleshooting step from Microsoft.
