No name laptop isn't loading os!!!

I have a crappy no-name laptop that i am installing windows 7 on for my uncle and after the installer reboots, it says no operating system is found.

I tried the hard drive in another laptop i have and it worked fine in there.

Also, the hard drive from the working laptop wouldn't work in the no-name one.

it'd help if you could provide a spec sheet but i think it'd be hard for a no name laptop?

and did you change the boot order in the bios?

i did change the boot order but even if i go to the boot menu and make it boot from the hard drive it still says "no operating system"

can you reset the bios to factory default settings?
