I was happily using my toshiba satellite with 8.1 windows. I plugged a printer in and since then Its been unable to detect any wifi connections - usually not only my rooter is picked up but also various neighbours. Now nothing. I've tried turning off the router, restarting etc. toshiba help says that you can switch off (or on) wifi by a button, I have no button, or a combination of keyboard buttons. Please help. Thank you, Karen

You should see one of these on the front of the laptop:

If it's glowing, then the wireless card should be working, and it may be an issue with your network. Make sure you have Wi-Fi on.

FN + F12 should toggle the wireless on and off. Does the wireless LED on the front edge of the laptop go on or off when you use this key combo?

Also, did you try disconnecting the printer at the laptop to see if the wireless might work again?
