No Optical output

I have purchased a set of bose companion 5 speakers and want to connect them to my technika LED24-E242com. However I cannot find an optical output to connect it.

I think you bought the wrong device. The tv doesn't have optical out; the bose doesn't have optical in.

The TV does have a headphone out, and the Bose does have a 3.5mm input jack, so you could connect them that way. But you would be wasting a fair bit of the cost of the Bose system; it's got USB input and you are paying for a DAC you will not be using. If you bought it recently, you might consider exchanging it for something that just uses the stereo line in.
