No programme information

I've got a smart samsung tv upstairs and in the lounge, the upstairs tv has the programme info but the tv downstairs hasn't I can't seem to get it on. Any advice would be appreciated. And how do I connect my dvd to the tv?? Thanks.

I've read the guide book but can't find anything that relates to either query.

What is the model number of the downstairs TV ?
What is the model number for your DVD player, some of the older DVD players only have SCART leads and won't be compatible with newer TVs

Maybe the upstairs TV is better than the downstairs? Not all TV automatically provides you with program listing. You are not suggesting both TVs are identical?
