No sound from Samsung LCD HDTV

All of a sudden I have no sound from our TV. DVR, AV Receiver, TV all seem to be connected properly but no sound. I cannot even get the TV sound to come directly out of the TV speakers. If I can't even get that to work does that mean the TV sound function has gone out or could there be another answer?

Sounds like (pun intended) you have a common high-powered amp to fire all that up with. Is IT unplugged?
