no sound with HDMI cable from macbook to tv

Apple HDMI to HDMI cable from MacBook to Sharp flat panel (62"). Great video. No sound. Any help?

In a perfect world, when you switch to external video the audio automatically switches with it. If it doesn't, then you have to do it manually yourself. alt-spkr.
