No Sound

Hi,
Please give me some advise. I used the optical cable, one side is mini plug, the other side is optical, I connect from digital I/O of the Sound Blaster XFI on my PC to optical digital Input of my Yamaha receiver. I enable digital I/O in my computer system already. How come there is still no sound. May be there is something wrong with my configuration.
