not supporting sim card

Sir, i have sony xperia tipo( not dual)..
it is not supporting sim card but it is showing network. i cant make any call and also cant receive any call from others..
when i m tring to connect through internet..it is showing symbol of connection but no web page is available...
what can b problem with it? please give me some solution..

Is it a locked phone? Are you using the right sim?
