'nother VLC problem

This is an only-VLC occuring issue. When I turn the volume of the player up, the music gets all crackly, but when the computer volume is high and the player volume low, the audio is clear. Anyone else had this issue?

No, the volume doesn't go above 200 in the new versions. Someone who keeps their computer secure and up-to-date would know this

Raising the volume above 100 applies positive gain to the sound, which can cause clipping.

There's a maximum value any sound sample can have, so if you add too much gain you get this:

Because most other players don't let you raise the volume higher than 100%, i assume.
