nVidia GT740M vs GT 750M?

Is there a great difference between the performance of these two cards (both DDR3) at HD resolution or less?

Not really - they are both pretty poor. The 750 is better.

it's about 13% difference. But they can definitely play games at 720p on medium-high for demanding games, so it'll do what you want it to. on 1080p it doesn't really have enough muscle for all the big games at high settings.
