Not only has supply on new rtx 30 cards loosened up considerably, but the crypto crash has caused the big mining farms to dump all their cards onto the market, as well. This isn't going to be good for new card launches. Everyone gleefully snapping up all the excess video cards now, won't be in the market again for another 2-3 years. You never want to buy the generation that introduces new technologies, anyway. You want to buy the one that comes after, that refines them, with lower power consumption, less heat, and higher clocks. The generation that follows rtx 40, is the one you really want.

I keep hearing about this over stock of RTX 30XX cards, but do not believe it! If it where true the prices for a 2 years old GPU would not be $100 over retail! At 2 years old they should be $100 under retail! I would bet someone selling a RTX 3070 at $400 would sell out quickly!

What are you talking about? The RTX 40 series is the 3rd RTX card. This is definitely the gen you want to jump onto.
