Recently my computer broke giving me a "Your PC has run into problems." But when it restarted, it appeared to have completely removed my Nvidia Display Adapter. When I download the new version(s), it tells me the computer isn't compatible. Here are my specs: (I know it says Intel, it replaced the Nvidia with it overnight.)

WINDOWS 10
Manufacturer: Alienware
Model: Alienware ALIENWARE17
Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @2.40GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)
System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor.

Solution
Your Alienware 17 has "switchable graphics" employing two GPUs (an Intel one on the APU, plus an Nvidia discrete card for gameplay & graphics applications).

From your post, it seems to me that the Nvidia GPU may have failed, leaving only the Intel one.

That's why the Nvidia driver won't install, it can't find the Nvidia GPU because it's gone belly up.
If it's still under warranty, contact Dell to have it fixed at their expense.

Incidentally, I don't understand why you posted it on this particular forum (Antivirus/Security/Privacy) but hey, genuine mistake no doubt :)
