I hav win XP, and office 03. Now a days i hav a problem in ms word. when i open any word file, it says "a dialouge box is open" 2ndly the dialoge box says word cannot open existing (normal). plz help me..................

Do a search for and delete any normal.dot files.
Next time you start Word it will re-create it, see if that works.
