OG 3DS: 3DS freezes when selecting DS Download Play, but works in 3DS Download play?

My OG 3DS freezes when I select DS download play. This happens too if i select download play with DS games. Why does this happen? I'm assuming it has something to do with the WIFI Card. 3DS download play seems to be working flawlessly though. Same with Internet. Is the wifi card separate?

Also, DS download play stopped working at a point and was having the same problem that I was having now, but it worked again. Now its not working.

EDIT: I looked at some threads on nintendo's techforums and other people also had the same issue. If DS Download Play does not work with multiple games, then you will need to get a repair. You can call Nintendo at 1800-255-3700
