As others have said, none of these choices will be great gaming machines. To be even called a gaming computer, it needs a dedicated GPU (some few exceptions) The only one of these that does is the Acer and its a great gaming computer FOR THE PRICE, especially if you can find an open box or refurbished unit.

This is a good choice and you can find it cheaper.

And this is a good older unit you may be able to find cheaper.

The HP one is absolutely out, it doesn't even have a dedicated graphics card, which youis recommended if you plan to play high end or current games.

For the Asus, I recommend contacting the seller and ask if there is a graphics card.

Even though the Acer has a GPU, it is not recommended for gaming.

But since you are on a tight budget, a decent graphics card is probably not available. So stay with the imtegrated one.

OR try the Lenovo Y410p or 510p.

Don't get the Acer it has a terrible CPU.
Some things that you probably already know...
1. The HP is slightly cheaper and has a slightly (0.1GHz) better CPU
2. The HP also has integrated graphics unfortunately they're intel (not great.)
3. The ASUS has a bigger screen with a higher resolution.
4. The HP has 4 USB 3.0 ports (which will support USB 2.0)
5. Maybe it's just a typo but the HP already has Windows 8.1 which will save you some time when you first set up your laptop.
6. The HP is lighter than the ASUS (5.6lbs. vs. 6.2lbs.)
7. The HP can support up to 16GB of RAM and the ASUS doesn't say , but I saw one with 12GB and the rest were 8GB.
8. Back to the price, the HP costs $720 with shipping but the ASUS costs $780 with shipping.

I would go with the HP, but you may want to look into the graphics card support for both of them.

The HP and Asus laptops relies on the Intel HD 4600 graphics core which is not really that good for video games compared to dedicated graphics.

The Acer does have a dedicated graphics chip; the GT 840m. The Core i5-4210u (1.7GHz / 2.7GHz) is actually a pretty decent CPU for games considering you are looking at a laptop. Most games do not use more than 2 cores, although there are specific games that can perform better with a quad core CPU. However, a quad core CPU + dedicated graphics card may very well cost more than what you are willing to spend.

The Acer is the best of the 3 laptops due to the dedicated graphics chip.

I use my refurbished 15.6" Dell Latitude 3540 to play games and it performs well considering that laptops do not provide the same performance as most desktop PCs especially when it comes to games. It has the i5-4200U CPU which is only 100MHz slower than the i5-4210U CPU and it has a Radeon HD 8850m graphics chip which is basically the same overall performance as the GT 845m.
