Hey guys, i want to upgrade my old laptop with an ssd but i have a lot of files on the old hard drive an i want to switch the hard with an ssd and buy an enclosure for the old hard disk. My question is can i acces and copy my files from the hard disk even if the os is still on that hard disk?

Solution
Yes. If it's formatted with Windows. That's what I just did. Get a USB enclosure and put the old drive in it. You'll be able to see the directory structure and files. If you want to you could clone the old drive to new with Acronis. Then again nothing like a fresh OS on a new drive.
