My mother wants to run the tv through the tuner hmdi tv but rca tuner is it possible? Do I need a cable? or a tconverter?

If the Pioneer is an SX435 receiver then you would need a coax digital to analog converter like this one
https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Optical-Analog-audio-converter/dp/B004C4WPXA
and cables to connect it. A coax digital cable from the TV to the converter and standard stereo audio cables from the converter to the Pioneer (any input except phono is OK).
The remote of the TV would not control the volume (the output is fixed) and since the receiver predates remote control it doesn't have one. It might not be convenient of her to use.
If the TV had a headphone jack then that would have required just a cable.
