Old receiver to vizio tv

How do I connect my pioneer HTD-510DV receiver (which is quite old) to my Vizio TV D28h-C1? I just want to use the receiver for audio purposes. I have tried using the red and white cables for the audio. But I can't get my TV to send the Audio to the receiver.

I mostly want my speakers to play sound while I watch on my firestick. But of course the receiver has no hdmi ports.

From what I can see, that TV model only had a headphone jack for audio out, you need to get a 3.5mm to RCA adapter and connect your receiver to that.
