Old Toshiba Satellite A60-127 best and fastest CPU upgrade

I have an old Toshiba Satellite a60-127 and I wanted to know wich is the best and fastest CPU that I can swap into it ?

The Mobile Pentium 4 HT 552 is the best you can get, and all you're getting with that is 266 MHz of additional clock speed, nothing more. That said, I'd still do the upgrade just for fun

Unfortunately no, Socket 478 never got any dual-core processors, only single-core P4's and Celerons. No 64-bit processors either, I'm afraid

Socket P and Socket 478 are not the same socket, even though Socket P has 478 contacts.
