Hello everybody

I hope this is the right section of the forum to post this in, and I need to start by saying that I'm pathetically ignorant when it comes to pretty much anything techie that is newer than 10 years.

We just bought a new LG Home Theater System (BH9431PW) for various reasons, which I was very excited about being a tv/movie maniac. Even though I was of the opinion we should do something about our 2001 TV first, we still went ahead and purchased the home theater. Now we are left with a TV that probably and most likely isn't compatible.

We've been able to connect the two RCA audio cables from the TV into the LG HT, which gives us a little bit of a sound "oomph", but we've made no progress video wise.

I realize this is probably a very ridiculous question, but I'll ask anyway... Is there ANY way to make this work? Short of getting a new TV, of course.

Here is a picture of the back of the TV:

Here is a picture of the back of the HT (bit blurry, sorry):

Feel free to laugh at me all you want, but if there is a crazy/obscure solution, I'd love to hear it. I've heard of RCA HDMI converters, but it's all greek to me.
Thank you very much in advance.
