Solved! Old TV Speakers

Hi All! Just found this forum and it is excellent!

I have an old TV speaker system (5.1), which connected to a Panasonic bluray player. That bluray player crapped out, but i was wondering if there was a way to connected the 5.1 speakers to my existing TV.

This all depends on exactly what TV and what speaker system you have, since we have no way to know what connections each of those has. If the speakers you have need power you will need to buy another receiver/amp to run them, and that would mean they better not have any type of proprietary connector or you will need to re-wire them.
