Question One RAM slot is not working - only beeping

My Dell Inspiron 15R 5520's upper RAM slot is working fine. But when I put the same RAM stick in the lower RAM slot, it causes beeps, and the laptop doesn't boot up. The RAM stick is working absolutely fine.

I have cleaned the RAM slot and stick and there are no visible damage or bent/broken slot pins.

How to confirm that the slot is faulty or there is some fault at the motherboard?

And how to rectify this problem?

RAM slot is on the motherboard so issue with that IS with the motherboard.

If you test several sticks in that slot and they all fail, it's a bad slot. Use the working one or need to replace the motherboard if you want to use both slots.
