OnePlus announced a partnership with Sony to develop the LYT-808 sensor that will be driving the OnePlus 12's new 53MP main camera. It could be enough of an upgrade to pull it ahead of the competition for taking photos and video recording.

The problem I see with Oneplus is that Oneplus themselves don't value their product, difficult to upgrade or lose more $$$ during upgrade.
