OnePlus 3 SmartPhone

My friend recommended me into buying the oneplus 3 but I've been asking around and no one else that i know knows about this phone. If there's a good phone out there then wouldn't it be talked about everywhere? I've looked up the specs for this phone and it has almost the same or even stronger power of hardware as the iphone 6s and galaxy s7. Should i really buy this phone?
