Solved! Only Stereo Channel From HDMI ARC & Optical

Hi, I have Samsung 40MU6100 TV and Samsung J5100K Home Theater unit and I can't figure out how to set Dolby Digital, including DD+

With HDMI cable connected from the HT to TV (ARC) or optical cable, I only get stereo (PCM) and DTS Neo 2:5 (which I think only upmix the stereo channel). I've tried different HDMI & optical cables I have but the result is the same. I also have upgraded the TV and HT firmware to the latest version but it doesn't solve the problem.

I'm running out of ideas here, please help! thanks

The TV menu should give you the option to output in bitstream which should be DD on most content. Try changing the surround mode on the HTS. DD or Auto should be available.
