Optical audio output delay on PS4

Hey.

I hope this is the correct forum section for this thread.

I have recently set up my PS4 and I am trying to use my 5.1 Samsung speakers to get some decent dolby. I have conected the audio amplifier directly to the PS4 via an optic cable, and the PS4 itself to the tv via HDMI.

Problem is, audio from the speakers seems to have a slight delay compared to the image on screen, while the HDMI audio does not (i can keep both of them active, and i can hear a distinct latency between the two).
I have looked around the web for a solution but it seems that most people with this issue had the optical cable passing thru the tv first, instead of being directly connected to the PS4, which is my case.

Anyone with a solution for this?

Make sure the volume on your tv is turned to 0. Try looking into settings on your receiver to set the speaker distances.
