Hi guys,
I have an S/PDIF-Out port on my computer. Am I correct in thinking that I can't double it as an input like I can do with my 2.5mm ports?
EDIT: Let me give you more info. I'm thinking of buying a PS3. I have a 1080p Acer monitor with HDMI, DVI, and VGA inputs. I have my PC plugged into the DVI input, and I want to plug the PS3 into the HDMI.
For audio, i have a 5.1 surround sound system for my PC that consists of:
3 2.5mm plugs connected to the sound card that terminate in 3 2.5mm male plugs that plug into my subwoofer/amplifier. There are 5 RCA ports on the subwoofer that each speaker connects to. I would like to use this same 5.1 system with the PS3. I have an optical output (and a strange 2.5mm digital output) on my PC...
Any ideas?
