Hi again

Just to recap this is to add to the previous post.
I watch films via a firestick on a LG 37LC2D TV. I want to send the sound to my LG DVD Reciever LH-W360 to achieve 5.1 Dolby digital surround sound. However this is not happening. The TVs has optical but the home theatre hasn't. The TVs doesn't have a head phone jack either. It does have rcas but for these to work as auxiliaries in the home theatre they have to be selected on the tv, therefore switching from the hdmi.
Any more help would be very welcome.

Regards

James

According to the specs I found on the Web, they aren't many input options as it's mainly a 5.1 home theater kit designed to work together.

The only solution is as you said, using the L/R RCA Aux inputs on your receiver. But you probably won't get any 5.1 goodness and you have to tell the TV to send sound on its RCA Outs instead of HDMI.

Best of luck!
