That should be a quick one:

I want to connect my Xbox One X to an old audio receiver (Sony STR-DE585). I was about to buy a Toslink for that but decided to check the back of the receiver again.

It has a 'Optical Video In' which irritates me as these connections are usually refered to as 'Optical Audio In/Out' aren't they?

Probably a silly question but I dont want to buy the wrong cable :ange:

Solution
It says that because you have to select the "Video 2" device on the receiver for that digital input to be active. The pictures I see say "Video 2 In" ...
A toslink cable would be correct. Below the toslink port is a coax digital input labeled DVD/CD... Same thing, that input has to be selected for that port to be active.
