On my email account I am receving a large amount of spam. About 1 message per minute. The built in spam/junk email filter in outlook doesn't seem to be solving the problem. I changed the settings in the junk email area to only allow emails from my apporved senders list which has only four emails. After saving the settings I still receive a spam email every minute and it seems to make no difference.

As a result I assumed some form of malware had infected outlook or another part of the computer. I ran a full system scan with Malware bytes from safe mode and it picked up no infections at all.

What is a solution to this problem? Do I need to download a third party spam filter for outlook?

What kind of account is this? POP3? IMAP? Hotmail? Exchange? Something else?

Sounds like the client side junk filter in Outlook isn't installed correctly.

What version of Outlook are you using?
