outside antenna abruptly stopped receiving signals

We installed an outside digital antenna 9 months ago. We received approximately 54 channels. Yesterday we got the message "no signal" on 49 channels. I went back to the auto set up of digital channels and ran the program. It only picked up 5 channels. It remains the same today. We checked the antenna and it is as secure as the day it was put up. It has survived horrendous Texas rain and hail storms. Yesterday the wind was strong but not like any storm. What could possibly make the signal just disappear?

Did you check the integrity of the coax cable connected to the antenna?
