Overheating

I have a Thinkpad L240, with i3 2330 6GB ram and i have faulty battery i thought i should remove this but after removing my laptop was lagging and if i put it inside it overheats and Shutsdown, i dont know what to do. Please Help!!! (I am not playing any game)

Are you sure it's overheating? Not all sudden shutdowns are caused by too much heat. You need to troubleshoot things, get a replacement battery, if it's actually overheating open it and clean off the heatsink/fans and apply new thermal paste.

Thanks Man. It is overheating i have vhecked and now i will clean it.
