Pad minutes at end of recording

Damn!.. I keep recording blind date but due to lateness of the broadcast,
things are about 3 or 4 mins later than scheduled. As such, I lose the last
4 or so minutes.

How can I add 5 mins to the end of the recording without manually recording.
IE I tell it to record all blind date shows whenever whereever....but I just
want to add 5 mins to that so I don't miss the last 5 mins...

Go into advanced record options.

You can add up to 240 additional minutes to a recording. Select the name
of the show in "Replay Guide" or select the show from the "Channel
Guide" then select "recording options," select "advanced," and then set
the additional minutes then select "done."

Actually, where I was recording from, the advanced options did'n
show...advance shows when you find the show on the grid and then record, but
not when you search and record...or somehting like that.

You're probably speaking to "Theme" recordings. The 'Advanced' option
doesn't appear when setting up Theme recordings, and so you can't pad
Theme-based recordings.
