Ok so TVs are getting bigger, that's apparent. What about resolutions?! When will I get my 3840x2160 on a single 28" monitor?!

I think it would be cheaper and more practical to pay the local cinema private access to one of their theaters than to buy this over priced TV. On top of it all, you'd get a bigger screen with surround sound and pop-corn to boot!

$100K? pssshhh that's insane. my local AV store has had a 120 inch display for YEARS now granted it's a projector style setup onto a movie style screen but it's probably just as nice if not nicer for 1/5th the price or if you include the top end surround sound system it's still less than 1/2 this price (works out to $40K for the whole room) seems ridiculous to pay $100K for the TV when I could have better for less

[citation][nom]coggsman[/nom]How much would a 103" plasma weigh? You would need to grab about 6 studs to hang it on your wall![/citation]

about as much as a 36" tube tv

1.17 mm, if I got my math right and the resolution is 1920x1080. That's about 6 times more than on a Dell 30" at 2560x1600. I think I'll stick with the Dell for now :)

Almost, its 1.19mm. Keep more significant numbers next time. ;-)

For this you could buy 100 home-cinema 1080p projectors, which can be scaled to 103" and beyond anyway, and which are each a fraction of the weight. Only thing you sacrifice is 3d capability. Would you pay $99,000 for that?
