Panasonic Viera Half Screen

Hi,

my Panasonic Viera 42" plasma tv has just started playing up. We can only see half the screen. The right side of the screen is fine but the left side has a black section running vertically and a white section running verticaly with green flashing lines also running verticaly.

any advise in terms of what could be the problem or cost to repair would be greatly recieved.

Exactly the same problem appeared in the last hour on my Panasonic Viera plasma screen! Only the right half of the screen is visible, the left half is half black-half white. Does anyone know what this is and how can it be fixed?
