Panasonic Viera TC-L42E50 ARC support

I'm trying to determine if the ARC on my TV supports Dolby Digital 5.1 channel audio or if it's just stereo. I am interested in this sound bar http/www.amazon.com/dp/B00SMBGP76/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=U5ZVHE4HJIEQ&coliid=I2LQIYHKRKWHY2&psc=1 but I don't know if my Chromecast and Xbox 360 would go through the television as 5.1. I would imagine the cable box would since that would be connected directly to the soundbar's HDMI in- unfortunately Panasonic doesn't have much info published.

Check the audio setup menu of the TV. If you see more than one option for output type then likely one of them is 5.1

The only option I have is to enable/disable the built in speakers.. Looks like I'll have to call Panasonic.
