Question Password Management 101

I've been lazy with passwords and need to get real about making them more secure.

What I'm wondering about is using a password manager and having so many devices.

I let Microsoft authenticator (I started using it on my old Windows phone and liked the two-factor authenticator (though it was rarely required in most sites)) save my passwords, also, my Google phone. The passwords are saved but they're just crappy passwords right now.

I want something that's going to generate passwords for me and save them but then how do I access them on my smartphone, on my smart TV, ect.?
Do I have to install an app on all the devices?
Do you access it through the browser?
I also have a raspberry pi that I use and then if I travel and I'm using a hotel computer or something like that and I want to access Expedia, do I get a USB drive key to save my passwords that I can just plug in and use that?

Sorry if these are basic questions, usually I feel pretty up on using the computers and programs.
