I upgraded my MOBO the other day to a GIGABYTE Z97X-Gaming G1 WIFI-BK Black Edition and I believe there is something wrong with the built-in Sound Blaster Recon3Di or it's drivers. Randomly the audio jumps to it's maximum potential (whith headphones in as well). The volume bar will say 18 (or any other number) but it plays at max unless it is changed to zero. I installed the default driver but if I install the latest it always says no compatible device detected.

My specs:
16 GB DDR3
1TB Toshiba HDD
EVGA 850 GQ, 80+ Gold 850W,
Intel I5-4690k 3.5GHZ (OC to 4 GHZ)
GIGABYTE Z97X-Gaming G1 WIFI-BK Black Edition
GTX 1080 Founders Edition

OS: Windows 10 Home (Version 1803)
