PC home theatre help

hey guys i just bought a new home theatre its a phillips 5.1 tall boy i have a HDMI cable from my pc to the blueray player and the player to my monitor but i cant seem to get centre and back speakers to work should i get a toslink cable and run that from the pc to the player?

Wait, what? You have PC > BluRay > TV?

Why are you trying to run the PC through the BluRay player and what are the speakers connect to?

the speakers are connected to the home theatre console (the blueray player)
PC-HDMI-BLURAY-HDMI-MONITOR

you need to connect it this way...

BluRay out -> Receiver In
PC out -> Receiver In
Receiver Out -> TV In

First make sure the content you're attempting to play actually supports 5.1 audio output. Next make sure the graphics output is capable of 5.1 audio output over HDMI.

that tells me nothing, unfortunately - I need a manufacturers specification page

better yet, a picture of the back of the unit and it's connections would be best
