Question Pc mic and audio messed up

Two days ago when I plugged in my green and pink wire ( don’t know the name of the wire) into my gaming pc the audio all of a sudden was messed up and my mic stopped working. I thought this was my mic’s problem so I ended up buying a new mic and the same problem happens. The Audio is messed up and the mic doesn’t work. My friends can’t hear me.

If the headset is working fine, then the port may be the the problem. You can try having it repaired, or you can try using a 3.5mm to USB adapter and connect through a USB port.

When ever I insert headphones into my gaming pc the audio is all messed up. In a game I can’t talk to my friends and I also can’t hear them however I can only hear the horrible in game audio. If I don’t have headphones plugged in the audio is normal. So anybody know the problem ?

Also, are you sure that the port actually is input/output? Just because it is a single port doesn't mean it is both/dual. It could just be headset only. Or it could be that the headset you are using will not work in that port. It happens a lot. The things I suggested above would be the way to fix it.

That I can't answer. It depends on where you live. I would suggest checking with a few places to get an idea. Should it be a large cost then using a USB to 3.5mm adapter may be the better option.
