Pc to tv hdmi connection

Hello,
i connected my tv to PC with an HDMI cable. i did something wrong with the settings on the PC. The screen goes to a blank desktop, no icon or cursor. When i unplug the HDMI cable, the PC screen comes back, but as I soon as I plug it back in same issue.
