pc to tv using vga to rca cable problem

windows 8 lenovo machine wit intel graphics processor, trying to connect my old sony 1991 27-inch with a vga to rca cable ( no box) using 4:3 (400x300)resolution

im having a blurry image, there is like snow in my tv, but i know i got conectivity because if i use a different like 1600x900 resolution i get my tv displaying a repetition of small screen of what it should display (extension of my desktop) in a grid pattern with no snow what could a try to do ?

Yes you need to lower the resolution to get it too work. Try the lowest resolution you can (maybe even 320x240 or 480x360) and make sure that the HZ are set low (under 60HZ). The old tv's can't handle high resolution. Actually I think 480x360 is SD tv standard resolution so try that first. You might have to make a custom resolution setup in your graphics setup program (nvidia control panel or Catalyst control or Intel Graphics Control Panel). How this works for you..

this is when using a 320X240 resolution 60 hertz


this is when using a 400X300 60 hertz


this is 640X480 60 hertz




i dont have the 480X360 resolution with my intel graphic control even in my control pannel or in my wizard mode intel option, what could i do the be able to use this resolution ?

anyway behind my tv it's clearly stated 400X300 resolution at 120 hertz, ive almost tried all the resolution and hertz setup possible from 320X200 to 2560x1600, and 59 to 120 hertz....

I have the same model and the same problem with and HDMI to RCA converter. It's set to NTSC and I've tried lowering resolution on the computer plugged into it, still no color.
When the RCA cable is part way into the jack, I can see a bit of color.
Does anyone have an idea why we're having these problems?
