I have a PC, its jack works fine but whenever I try to use the microphone on xbox game bar, discord, sound control panel it doesn't work. I've tried unplugging it changing settings. I don't have a back jack for it so I use the front one but I don't know if it was an update or anything I've tried changing settings and doing the Search for "microphone privacy settings" which will return "Allow access to the microphone on this device". Which doesn't work, don't know if I need a splitter but there is not much more I can do.

Depends on your computer brand/model and what exact connections it has along with what headphones/mic you are using. If it's a desktop it's very odd that there are no motherboard audio jacks.
