Phone keeps turning off while connected to TV

I have connected my phone to my TV but after a while my phone turns off. I'm using a MHL adaptor and it has a USB for power which I connected. My Phones Battery is not dead, it just seems to bomb out and turn off. Please can someone help with a solution or at least a reason why its doing this.

Well, the first thing is what app are you using to do what ever it is you are doing on the TV?

Then, have you checked the settings on your phone, and what ever app you are using, to make sure they are not set to turn off or sleep?

I'm watching showmax from my phone and about 10 minutes into the movie my phone turns off. So, it could just be a setting on my phone?

Yes it could just be a setting in the phone, or in the app using, or the battery draining fast and the phone turns off when it reaches a certain level. Which you can change as well.
