Solved! Phone NOT searching for networks

Hi, my phone, a Samsung Note 5, is refusing to search for networks. It cannot call or text or recieve calls and texts. It shows "emergency calls only"
I go to Mobile Networks-----> Network Operators---> Search Networks and i get a "Error while searching for networks" error.
Any suggestions on what i could do to fix this. The phone is up to date, it is not a mediatek device as well.

Sounds like a dud SIM card. Has that SIM ever conected to a service provider?

Yes,currently using it on my other phone and it works just fine.

It's probabl ylocked to the other device or your new phone needs a SIM that can be locked to it.
