Pink Screen trying to play 3D BD

I am trying to play Independence Day Resurgence on a Sony BDS770 Player. It plays all my other 3D movies fine, it has the latest firmware M04,R,789 none since 2014.
Put the disc in it detects 3D menu starts fine, soon as I press play it locks up and I get a solid pink screen on the TV, all remote buttons are useless. Have to unplug to get control back.
TV is a Sony XBR 52900LX. Could not get much from Sony as usual.

put that disk into another Blu-ray player even a friend's to see if does same or not.

Took the first one back to the store and changed it. Second one does the same, even called Fox, they told me the only thing is the BD+ copy protection, this players last firmware update was 2014 and no other has been issued from Sony, it played in a new player at the store and the guy said it should play in mine? Who knows, I think all is needed is an update and Sony is no longer supporting older players trying to force a purchase of a new one!!
