Solved! Pioneer Premier VSX-53 stuck on power on

Stuck on power on, and won’t do anything else. Any suggestions? Pioneer premiere VSX-53. The power on screen stays on, and the unit will not do anything else. Will not play music or anything. I tried the factory reset, and nothing. It will power off, if I hold the button in for 5 seconds.

Disconnect all the speaker wires and try it again.
Disconnect all the other cables and try it again.
If it comes on normally then reconnect one cable at a time to locate a shorted speaker cable or bad input.
The main control chip or board may be bad. Not a DIY or cheap repair.
Contact Pioneer to find out where it would have to go for service. If you are in the US I suggest United Radio in Syracuse NY.
