Hello,

I am on a tight budget and I am looking for a cheap [some what] gaming laptop and for other basic task such as school work. I currently looked at the following laptops and can't decide which to pick...

HP:

All of those laptops are rubbish (almost any laptop under $800 is) and none of them will game worth a damn but if I had to pick one I'd go with the second.

Hmm let me explain something to you... Low end laptops arents meant... thats just it they are not meant for really anything except school work or minor business work (Spread sheets and graphs). If you want something a little more for gaming....

Sorry, I wasn't that clear. By gaming I meant little bit of Warcraft III here and there. I am not planning on playing insane game like GTA 4 or Battle Field 3. Heavy gaming will come after I graduate [2 years from now]; probably build my own rig by than.

Since you chose the second link, how do you think i'll do in converting videos? And thanks for the feedback though, greatly appreciated.

Well in that case go with the second one. It's not terrific but it'll get the job done and allow for some light gaming

You mean World of Warcraft? if yes then you should be fine with most any of those laptops. Just put it on lowest settings.. And Build a desktop rig when you get the time...
