i suggest going to pc specialist and making a laptop for yourself, a little more expencive than a bog standard, but it will be garanteed to work.

I’m looking for a new laptop that is best value for money at the minute. Currently studying I want a quick laptop that I can do work on, browse the internet/watch things and run some games such as football manager, rocket league and maybe dayz. I’m looking to spend hopefully less then £650. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations? Thanks!

Or even what would be the cheapest laptop just to do work and browse games? I would want a thin fairly mobile laptop that would also run smoothly

Football Manager 2018 seems to have pretty low requirements since the very old and weak Intel GMA X4500 graphics core from 2008 is listed as a minimum requirement.

A modern laptop with a 7th generation Core i3/i5/i7 CPU will have the Intel HD 620 integrated graphics core and it is much more powerful than the old Intel GMA X4500. So if you are looking to get something as cheap as possible, then you can search for a laptop with a Core i3-7100u to play the game. Of course, since the game is not actually out yet you can't be sure how well the Intel HD 620 will perform. Overall game performance, the Intel HD 620 is a little less powerful than the nVidia 920m.

However, if you want to play games and you are not looking for the least expensive laptop possible, then you can search for a laptop with a nVidia 940mx or better. It all depends on how much money you are willing to spend. A laptop with a nVidia 940mx typically starts at around $550 USD, but it can vary depending on the country you live due to possible import taxes. For example, I think in Australia a laptop with the nVidia 940mx is around $850 USD after converting AUD currency into USD currency. They have pretty high import taxes on electronics.
